Melrose Woman Hopes To Become This Years ‘Princess Kay Of The Milky Way’

A Melrose woman will represent Stearns County for a chance to crowned Minnesota's 62nd Princess Kay of the Milky Way. 18-year-old Morgan Uphoff is one of 12 finalists at this year's pageant. She says her passion for the dairy industry was the biggest factor in choosing to run this year.

Sartell Officials Agree To Sell One Piece Of Land, Buy Another

Sartell officials have agreed to acquire one piece of land and sell another. During tonight's (Monday) special meeting the city council discussed in a closed session whether or not to sell about .75 acres of land at 632 Riverside Avenue South and purchase two other properties near Val Smith Park and Sauk River Regional Park.

Police Investigate Slaying of Maplewood Mother

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 41-year-old mother in suburban Maplewood. Authorities identified her as April Marie Tennin. Police Chief Paul Schnell says investigators considered her husband a "person of interest" in Sunday's slaying.

Right-to-Die Group Fined $30K in Minnesota Woman’s Suicide

A national right-to-die group has been fined $30,000 for assisting in a Minnesota woman's suicide in 2007. Final Exit Network was convicted in May of assisting the suicide of 57-year-old Doreen Dunn, plus a lesser charge of interfering with a death scene.
