WAITE PARK --  A local nonprofit organization is looking to give a fun night out to parents who have suffered the loss of a child.

From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday) a benefit will be held at Grizzly's Wood Fired Grill in Waite Park to raise money to give parents a free night out.

Brandon Gunderson is the general manager at Grizzly's. He says the idea for Owen's Night Out was inspired by a two-year-old boy who died tragically. Organization Founder Justin Ploof is friends with Owen's parents. He treated them to a night away from grieving.

Gunderson says Owen's parents were surprised by how much the night away helped with their grieving process.

The benefit will feature a raffle drawing that includes a wheel barrel of booze, an autographed Tony Oliva baseball, salon package, gift certificates and a prime rib dinner for six.

The organization will also be selling T-shirts, wrist bands, bandanas and shaker cups. Live music by Justin Ploof and the Throwbacks starts at 5:30 p.m. Gunderson says they've received support and donations from many organizations.

The benefit is free and open to the public.
