HIBBING, Minn. (AP) - Authorities have removed a tanker truck that overturned in Hibbing while carrying 40,000 pounds of an explosive material.

Authorities say none of the ammonium nitrate spilled from the tanker outside Hibbing Taconite. The chemical is used in the blasting process at the site.

The tanker truck rolled as it turned into the entrance of Hibbing Taconite just after 8 a.m. Thursday.  The scene was cleared around 2 p.m.

Cliff Natural Resources owns Hibbing Taconite. Cliff says the driver of the truck has been taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Local authorities closed a portion of Highway 5 near the plant entrance, but the highway has since reopened. A small amount of fuel spilled from the truck but was contained.
