ST. CLOUD - Over two hundred people gathered at Lake George this afternoon to walk and raise awareness for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Crohn's and Colitis are inflammatory diseases that impact the digestive system. In Minnesota alone, an estimated 25,000 people have Crohn's or Colitis. The disease can be difficult to talk about, since the symptoms tend to be embarrassing.

Tovah Domenick, the walk manager for the event said these diseases can be silent and difficult to talk about.

"Crohn's and Colitis are kind of silent diseases because they are a digestive disease. You don't necessarily look sick on the outside."

The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation hosts events like this to raise awareness and support for these often unnoticed diseases.
