Evens, age 63, of Avon who passed away Thursday at his home surrounded by his loving family. Rev. Blane Wasnie, OSB will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Orville was born October 23, 1950 in St. Cloud to Andrew and Lorraine (Bovy) Evens. He married Margaret “Margie” Kelm on September 27, 1969 in Manannah. Orville worked as a charter bus driver for Voigt’s Bus Service and Trobec’s Bus Service for 25 years; he later cared for the grounds keeping and maintenance at St. John’s Preparatory School until his retirement in 2010. Orville enjoyed playing cards and shaking dice; weekly coffee clutch, woodworking, tinkering, going to the casino, reading, western movies, and black and white television shows. He had a great sense of humor and would do anything for anyone. Most importantly family came first in Orville’s life; whether that is fishing with his grandchildren or Sunday BBQ’s. He will be dearly missed.

Orville is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Margie of Avon; daughters, Roxanne (Jim) Urbashich of Holdingford, Krista (Keith) Kremers of Avon; grandchildren, Michael Urbashich, Lindsey Urbashich, Alli Kremers, Abbi Kremers; siblings, Shirley (Mel) Walz of St. Cloud, David Evens of Clear Lake, Kevin (Joann) Evens of St. Joseph, and Floyd (Gwen) Evens of Canby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chad Evens; and brother, Alvin Evens.

Special thanks to the Albany Hospice Staff for the special care given to Orville.
