Orvella A. Malikowski-Babineau, age 80, of Foley, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Foley Nursing Center in Foley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. The Rev. Michael Wolfbauer will officiate. Private family burial will in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Gilman. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 6th at the Foley Funeral Home with Parish Prayers at 5:00 PM. Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to services at church on Tuesday. Service with Dignity provided by Foley Funeral Home.

Orvella Alma (Gehrke) Malikowski-Babineau was born September 2, 1934 in Fairhaven, Minnesota the daughter of Fritz and Clara (Schaur) Gehrke. She grew up on a farm near Fairhaven and moved to Buschville, Benton County, in 1949 where she lived and farmed most of her life. Orvella married LeRoy 'Mac' Malikowski on August 9, 1952 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman She worked at Gorecki Manufacturing in Milaca and Foley. LeRoy passed away on November 17, 1991 and Orvella was united in marriage with Harold Babineau on October 8, 1994 at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater.

Orvella is survived by her husband, Harold of Foley; children: Anna May Broda of Foley, Gary 'Duke' Malikowski of Foley, Linnea (Roger) Sobania of Foley, Lorna (Kelvin) Larson of Clear Lake, Joseph Malikowski of Hugo, OK, Mac (Tammy) Malikowski of St. Cloud, Darwin (Tricia) Malikowski of Foley, Dean (Barb) Malikowski of Foley, Mardell (Scott) Sherk of Foley; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings: Lealand (Joan) Gehrke of Clearwater, Florance DeHeer of Watkins, Clista Dechaney of Virginia Beach, VA, Clementine (Dwane) Schmidt of Annandale, Linda (Eugene) Schlueter of St. Cloud; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; brother, Delroy Gehrke; an infant brother in 1935; infant daughters: Mary on August 15, 1955 and Glenna Mae on September 26, 1962; son-in-law, Ronald Broda; 1 great grandson and 1 great-granddaughter.
