The Twins lost 4-1 at home to the Baltimore Orioles Monday night to begin a 4-game series.  Baltimore snaps a 5-game losing streak with the win.  Former Twin J.J. Hardy hit a homerun right after he hit a foul ball that appeared catchable for first baseman Joe Mauer but a Twins' fan interfered with Mauer.

Zach Britten threw 5 innings with 6 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win and Carl Pavano allowed 9 hits and 4 earned runs in 7 innings to take the loss for the Twins.  Joe Mauer was 2-4 with 1 RBI and Michael Cuddyer returned to the lineup and was 2-3.

Minnesota falls to 55-72 and is 14 games back of Detroit for first place in the American League Central.  The Twins host Baltimore again tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Lefthander Brian Duensing (8-12) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Alfredo Simon (3-6) toes the rubber for the Orioles.
