Orin R. Jordet, age 77, St. Cloud, MN died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Augusta, MN.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Orin was born February 9, 1937 in Sacred Heart, MN to Otto A. and Florence B. (Bonde) Jordet. He was Baptized on April 11, 1937 and confirmed on June 15, 1952 at First English Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart, MN. Orin married Mary Ann Hall on August 11, 1957 (the hottest day of the year) at the Congregational Church in Granite Falls, MN. In his childhood Orin was active in 4-H, Boy Scouts, Band (playing the baritone) and One Act Play. He served in the U.S. Navel Reserve for 8 years. Orin worked at Sherco Power Plant in Becker from 1975-1994 retiring as Operations manager. He was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud and Trinity Lutheran Church, Clifton TX. Orin was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Granite Falls, the Granite Falls Rescue Squad and was a Sunday School Teacher in Granite Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Jordet of St. Cloud, MN; children, Linda (Leonard) Caruthers of Annandale, MN, Mark (Lori) Jordet of St. Augusta, MN, Ann (Jim) Lauinger of St. Cloud, MN; 6 grandchildren, Joel (Michele) Jordet, Jennifer (Jim) Edin, Mikel (Melissa) Jordet, Mathew Jordet, Izzy Lauinger and Jacob Lauinger; 3 great-grandchildren, Chloe Jordet, Caylee Jordet and Lucy Edin; brother, Daniel (Mary) Jordet of Freeport, MN; sister, Naomi (Lew) Drain of St. Croix, Virgin Islands.

Orin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John and sister-in-law, LaNaya Jordet.
