An art class at St. Cloud State University is using tools like Google Earth, campus maps and special codes in a series of high-tech scavenger hunts.

Today, the class tested out the games all over the SCSU campus. The students' projects take players from spot to spot, gathering clues and answering questions.

The students also designed boards and flashcards to track progress. From this, they learn more about different systems, like transportation or environmental, and how they work all over the SCSU campus.

Art professor Keith Christensen is the course instructor.

Christensen says games like the ones the students have designed are part of an international design movement geared toward helping people understand all kinds of current issues.
