‘Operation Baby New Year’ Passes 100K Diapers, Halfway To Goal
UNDATED - St. Cloud area residents have donated over 100,000 diapers so far this month for "Operation Baby New Year".
Organizer Justin Michael says they've now matched the total collected last year, which was the first year of the drive.
Yesterday we got a van full of 5,000 diapers from the Waters Church in Sartell, which brought us to a whopping 103,000 diapers. With just a few days on the clock we're going all the way until New Year's Day.
Michael says the grand finale party is Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at the Veranda Lounge in downtown St. Cloud. There will be food and entertainment provided.
They still have a goal of collecting a total of 200,000 diapers.
