President Brad Barz says it has been a labor of love for many community members.

Barz says the Metro Lions Club was also instrumental in getting the project completed.  He says a lot of individuals also helped make the field a reality, including the late Harmon Killebrew, when he was in town a few years ago.

The Miracle League field is located at St. Cloud's Whitney Park.  Saturday's events include an opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m., followed by two exhibition games.  Al Newman from the Minnesota Twins organization will also be on hand.

The Miracle League field will allow children with mental and/or physical challenges the opportunity to play ball and be a part of a team.

The Miracle League plans to play games twice a week on the field.
