RICE -- Benton County and the city of Rice are studying the possibility of creating an industrial park on the north side of Rice which would serve the existing railway in the area.

Benton County Administrator Monty Headley says they will present the findings of a feasibility study at Rice City Hall today from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Headley says industrial parks which serve rail lines can be expensive and take time to develop.

He says they have more work to do including market analysis, cost, funding mechanisms and possible partnerships.
