SHAKOPEE (AP) — The online photo publisher Shutterfly Inc. plans to build a new office and manufacturing complex in Shakopee and is asking for nearly $3 million in state and local incentives.

The Redwood City, Calif.-based company's plans would bring about 329 jobs to Shakopee in the next two to five years. The average wage would be $18.78 an hour, according to Shakopee city documents.

The city has approved a tax abatement package valued at as much as $759,000. Scott County is expected to vote soon on a similar package worth nearly as much.

The planned expansion was the subject of a July 24 out-of-state trip by Gov. Mark Dayton. The company has been in talks with Shakopee officials since May.
