One Person Hurt In One Vehicle Crash Near Krain Township

STEARNS COUNTY -- One person suffered minor injuries after a one vehicle crash in Krain Township yesterday (Monday).

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office they were called around 4:05 p.m. to highway 238. Deputies say the driver, 27-year-old Crystal Dietrich Benson from Upsula was heading southbound when she came to a curve and lost control of her 2001 Ford Expedition.

Authorities say Benson hit a mailbox and support cable for a power pole. She was taken by ambulance to the Albany Hospital for minor injuries.

Deputies say they responded to 47 vehicle crashes and vehicles in the ditch calls between 2:30 p.m. yesterday (Monday) and 5:30 a.m. this morning (Tuesday).
