One Hurt In I-94 Crash Near Clearwater Involving Two Semis

CLEARWATER -- One person is hurt in a four vehicle crash on Interstate 94 East near Clearwater. The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A vehicle driven by 64-year-old Kevin Doering of Cold Spring was headed east when he changed from the right to left lane and struck a semi driven by 47-year-old Andrew Barlage of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, sending him into the median and then back into the right lane.

Doering was then hit by another semi driven by 30-year-old Jacob Doll of Underwood. He then hit a car driven by 45-year-old Chad Mccarney of Richmond.

Doering was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Barlage, Mccarney, and Doll were not hurt. Authorities say wet roads may have played a role in the incident.
