One Arrested After Police Chase, Two More For Alleged Meth Possession
MEEKER COUNTY - Three people were arrested in Litchfield on Thursday after a police chase and for alleged drug possession.
Agents with the local drug and gang task force were in the 100 block of Park Village in Litchfield after receiving information that 29-year-old Amanda Rhode was hiding out in the area. Rhode had an arrest warrant for controlled substances.
Just after 6:00 p.m. agents saw a vehicle leave a home and attempted a traffic stop. The driver ran and led agents on a seven mile chase.
The driver attempted to lose authorities by going into a cornfield but was caught and arrested. The driver was 35-year-old Brian Berwald of Hutchinson.
Officers then returned to the home and found and arrested Rhode. Methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in the home.
Authorities also arrested 50-year-old Patrick Lanigan for possession of meth. All three were taken to Meeker County Jail.
