Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 27, 2015 at South Santiago Lutheran Church for Oliver “Ollie” J. Christopherson, age 77 of Becker who died Saturday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Mike Pancoast will officiate and private burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church in Santiago.

Ollie was born March 28, 1938 in Princeton to Chester & Jennie (Johnson) Christopherson. He married Lynette “Lonnie” Gunderson on October 18, 1955 in Minneapolis and served his country in the Navy on the USS Ticonderoga. Ollie worked as a Superintendent for Onan Corporation in Fridley for 40 years, retiring in 1999. He has been a resident of Becker since 1972 and a member of South Santiago Lutheran Church, Glendorado VFW Post #806, Santiago Lions Club, Santiago Sportsman’s Club and the National Rifle Association. Ollie loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and traveling in his motorhome. He was a faithful, dedicated, hardworking man who loved his grandchildren and family.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lonnie of Becker; children, Kathy Christopherson of St. Cloud, Kirk (Nita) of Becker, Clint (Ann) of West Plains, MO, Erik (Amy) of Colorado Springs, CO, Ervan (Missy) of Becker; sisters, Vi (Duane) Gudim of Zimmerman, Cindy (Peter) Byrnes of Shoreview; brother, Steve (Dolly) of Garrison; grandchildren, Craig, Laura, Cory, Alli, Kayla and Nicholas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Jennie; son, Kurt; and brother, Ronald.
