Ole William Nesset, 74, of Verndale, MN died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at his residence. Memorial service for Ole will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at United Methodist Church in Verndale, MN. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church one hour prior to services for visitation. Military Honors provided by Wadena VFW Post 3922. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Verndale, MN.

Ole was born February 24, 1940 in Verndale, MN to Maurice and Nita (Andrews) Nesset. He graduated from Verndale High School. He served in the US Army for 24 years, retiring with the rank of Sargeant Major. Following his retirement from the Army, he returned to his family farm outside of Verndale. Ole was a quiet, contemplative man. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent many hours hunting and fishing and loved being in the woods.

Ole is survived by his son, Andy (Gretchen) Nesset of Brooklyn Park, MN; granddaughter, Maggie; and sister, Kay (Delmar) Jacobs of Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Kari Kvamme in 2013. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
