ST. PAUL (AP) - Minnesota health officials have confirmed another case of fungal meningitis in a national outbreak linked to steroid shots for back pain made by a specialty pharmacy in Massachusetts.

That brings the number of Minnesota cases to 11.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported 419 cases of meningitis illness linked to contaminated steroid shots distributed by New England Compounding Center. Thirty people have died as a result of the outbreak. The medication was recalled in late September.

Minnesota is among 19 states involved in the outbreak.
