Officers Use Search Warrants to Recover Guns, Other Stolen Property

ST. CLOUD - The Stearns County Sheriff's office has released details of an investigation into stolen property and guns, and drug crimes. Sheriff John Sanner says on Wednesday search warrants were issued simultaneously for three locations.

A search of 13 Arbor Street in Bel Clare Acres recovered 19 guns and property stolen in a Waite Park home burglary.  Additional items stolen from a St. Stephen storage unit were also recovered.  Two adults and two children were at home at the time.  Arrested were 32-year-old John Carson and 30-year-old Jaqueline Sanquist.

A second search warrant was conducted at 52 Joymar Drive in Bel Clare Acres where investigators found more stolen property from the St. Stephen storage unit, along with methamphetamine.  Two men were arrested, 57-year-old Michael Grandner and 59-year-old Jay Sanquist.

A third search warrant was conducted at 303 12th Avenue North in St. Cloud.  Drugs and four stolen guns were recovered.  Arrested there were 29-year-old Lucas Brugger and 32-year-old Justin Jerome.

The investigation is ongoing and additional property and guns may be found.  There could also be more arrests.  The investigation was conducted by the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force, with help from the Waite Park Police, Stearns County Sheriff, and St. Cloud Police.
