Officer Hurt By Suspected Drunken Driver

ROCHESTER (AP) - A Rochester police officer is recovering from injuries after he was pinned between vehicles by a suspected drunken driver.

The officer was injured in a parking lot outside Legends bar Saturday night. Police say a man who appeared intoxicated got into his car and struck several vehicles before pinning the officer. He was taken to St. Marys Hospital by ambulance and treated for leg injuries.

The 35-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene. He's expected to face criminal charges early this week in Olmsted County District Court.
