Offenses, Arrests Down for SCSU’s Move-In Weekend
ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud police department is reporting fewer offenses and arrests on St. Cloud State University's move-in weekend, compared to last year.
There were 187 offenses this year, compared to 268 last year. And there were 161 people given a ticket this year, compared to 196 in 2011.
University officials say of the people cited, only 32% are SCSU students.
A majority of the offenses were for underage drinking and having an open container.
Twenty-one people were booked in the Stearns County Jail on a variety of charges.
