UNDATED - The National Weather Service says the warm weather will come to an end today as a strong cold front pushes through the region. Temperatures will start out mild in the morning but then fall throughout the day.

Northwest winds will increase during the afternoon and evening to around 20 to 30 mph, with higher gusts possible...especially in west central...southwest and south central Minnesota. As a result a wind advisory is in effect for much of the area.

Light snow is also possible in central Minnesota this afternoon and across central Minnesota into western Wisconsin tonight.

Temperatures will drop below freezing this evening which could lead to a few slick spots on some of the roadways, so use extra caution while driving.

Cold air will remain across the region through the upcoming week...but little significant precipitation is expected.
