ST. CLOUD - Most students in the St. Cloud Area School District won't be getting A's, B's, and C's this year.  Instead they'll be given 4's, 3's, 2's and 1's.  The district has been changing over to the "Standards Based Grading System".

Kennedy Principal Diane Moeller says the new system is better because it doesn't average out the student's grades throughout the whole semester.

Moeller says students in grades kindergarten through 3rd grade have already been using the new system.  Last year students in 7th and 8th grade got both a letter and a number grade, but will now only get a number.  And this year students in grades 4,5 and 6 will also move to the new system.
