ST. CLOUD - Federal accident investigators are warning that a "major loss of life" could result from an accident involving the increasing use of trains to transport large amounts of crude oil.

With one of the busiest rail lines in the country running right through the St. Cloud metro area, the St. Cloud Fire Department has a plan in place in the event a derailment happens here.

Chief Bill Mund says they're have a plan in place, and continue to review their plans.

Last month an oil train derailed and exploded near Casselton, North Dakota.  In July a runaway oil train derailed and explosed in Quebec, Canada.
