Northstar Ridership Up So Far In 2011

BIG LAKE -- Ridership on the Northstar Commuter Train is up.

Metro Transit says they saw a six-percent increase in the number of Northstar customers in the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year.  They sold 146,000 tickets during the period.

Officials say rising gas prices are most likely the biggest reason for the increase.
