North Dakota Man Hurt After Stopping To Help A Driver In the Ditch

MONTICELLO - Three vehicles were involved in a crash on Interstate 94 near Monticello in Wright County. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just before 10:00 p.m. Monday night.

A car driven by 22-year-old Ariana Diop of Mankato was heading east when it went off the road into the ditch.

A pickup driven by 52-year-old Eric McDaniels of Dickenson, North Dakota stopped to help when it was struck by a third vehicle driven by Joshua Covington of Lovell, Wyoming.

McDaniels was the only person hurt in the incident. He was taken to the hospital in Maple Grove with non life-threatening injuries.
