Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 30th, at 11:00 AM at St. Alexius Catholic Church in West Union for Norbert A. Miller, age 83, of West Union, who died on June 26th at the Sauk Centre Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Rev. Joseph Korf will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday between 4:00-8:00 PM and on Monday after 9:30 AM at St. Alexius Catholic Church in West Union. Parish Prayers will be at 7:30 PM.

Norbert was born January 24th, 1931 in Albany to Christ and Elizabeth (Heinen) Miller. He married Jeanette Caspers on May 25th, 1955 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Meire Grove. They lived south of West Union where they farmed for over 40 years. Norb was a member of St. Alexius Catholic Church in West Union where he was a parish council member, and a member of St. Joseph’s Society, Catholic Financial, Knights of Columbus Council # 3176 and a former member of the school board at the West Union School.

Norb enjoyed his farm, playing cards, fishing, especially the trips to Canada. He was an avid Vikings and Twins fan. The most important thing to Norb though, was his family, his loving wife, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette, children, Joan Scharf (Tom) Hinckley, Jane Jenc (Glen) Sauk Centre, Karen Daniel (Paul) St. Cloud, Bonnie Moore (John) St. Cloud, Barb Boeckman (Rick) Foley, Mark Miller (Jessie) Sauk Centre, Katie Emmel (John) Andover, Mike Miller (Jenny) Sauk Centre, 19 grandchildren, Sam and Sara Scharf, Jeremiah, Jake and Joe Jenc, Rachel and Grant Daniel, Jesse and Whitney Moore, Nathan and Alex Boeckman, Christian and Jazzy Miller, Michael and Steven Emmel, Jordan breitling replica Hartigan, Mason, Dylan and Ava Miller, brothers and sisters, Sister Loretta OSF, Peoria, Illinois, Leona Leyh (Rod) Bertha, Jenny Nagel (Bob) Hackensack, Paul Miller (Marilyn) Alexandria and Alex Miller (Cathy), St. Simons Island, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Robert, sister Hildegard Birr, step-mother Margaret Miller, brother Mark, and grandson Gavin Miller.
