UNDATED - Due to high water levels, the Stearns County Sheriff's office has enacted several "no wake zones" on area lakes.

The lakes include: Carnelian and Beaver in Maine Prairie Township, Two Rivers in Krain, Holding and Avon Townships, Horseshoe Chain of Lakes, and Rice in Paynesville and Eden Lake townships.

The no wake zone will be in effect for the next five days.

There's also a 'no wake zone' issued for the Briggs Lake Chain in Palmer Township in Sherburne County.  Officials says it will be in effect until the water goes down.

A no wake zone is defined as operating a watercraft at the slowest speed possible to maintain steerage.
