ST. CLOUD - An extra-curricular presentation will be made to District 742 on Wednesday recommending that a no-cut policy be put in place for junior-high athletics.

Former District 742 Superintendent Bruce Watkins will be part of the presentation and says the district shouldn't turn young students away from sports.

The presentation will also recommend junior high activities and athletics include sixth graders.

Watkins says the district should come up with core activities in their elementary schools.

The presentation also hopes to highlight equal access to activities in the districts elementary schools and guidelines on how new activities can be started at all district schools.

Watkins and Mary Broderick will present the recommendations on the study to the school board during their work session meeting at 6:30 p.m.
