Nina A. Schwarzenbach, age 91, St. Cloud, MN died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Talahi Care Center, St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 17, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.

Nina was born August 27, 1923 in St. Cloud to Arthur and Alexandra (Markova) Schwarzenbach. She graduated from Tech High, in St. Cloud, then moved to Minneapolis to work for WCCO radio. Following her tenure there, Nina worked the rest of her career in advertising.

An avid follower of the Big Band era, Nina collected articles and pictures of many bands that were popular during that time. She loved Frank Sinatra, Carey Grant, Bing Crosby, etc. and enjoyed tracking their careers, collecting many of their records and movies. Elvis Presley was also a favorite of Nina’s.

She was always devoted to her faith in God and the Orthodox Church. When there was no Orthodox Church in St. Cloud, she would travel to St. Mary’s, Minneapolis, especially for Easter services.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Victor Schwarzenbach, two sisters, Tamara (Douglas) Martin and Olga (Ed) Browne.
