News @ Noon: Waite Park Police In Process Of Returning Stolen Mail [AUDIO]

WAITE PARK – Last month we first told you about a large amount of stolen mail that was recovered during a traffic stop in Waite Park.

Police Chief Dave Bentrud says, with over 1,000 pieces of mail recovered, its been a very time consuming case.

Bentrud says it will most likely be the Stearns County Attorney that prosecutes the case.  He says they should also release the names of the suspects soon.

They’re also in the process of cataloging and returning all of the mail to the rightful owners.

The mail was recovered on January 21st during a routine traffic stop.  Most of the mail was post marked between January 14th and 20th.
