News @ Noon: TV Host, Cookbook Author Amy Thielen [INTERVIEW]

PARK RAPIDS - Northern Minnesota's Amy Thielen seems to be taking the cooking world by storm this fall.  The Park Rapids woman has a new show on the Food Network called "Heartland Table".  It debuted on September 14th.  The show airs Mondays at 4:30 p.m. our time. She also has a new book out on the store shelves called "The New Midwestern Table: 200 Heartland Recipes".

Thielen joined my on WJON today (Wednesday) on the News @ Noon show, to talk about her sudden fame.

In my first segment with Thielen, she talks about her background and how she got to this point of being an author and a TV show host.

In the next segment, Thielen talks about her cookbook and where the inspiration and recipes comes from.

And in the final segment, Thielen talks about her TV show.  Filming for the show took place in her kitchen in her Park Rapids home.  She also talks about the reaction she's been getting from her fellow Park Rapids residents.
