News @ Noon: New Eddy’s Resort Scheduled To Open By Fishing Opener [AUDIO]

LAKE MILLE LACS - Work continues on a new resort on the western shore of Lake Mille Lacs. The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe is spending about $10 million to build a new Eddy's Resort.

Spokesman Jo Nayquonabe says the project was delayed this spring, because of the bad weather, which has pushed back the opening date from this fall to next spring.

He says the resort will include five new cabins.

He says the main lodge will have another 64 rooms. The facility will also have a main bar and restaurant.

The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe has owned Eddy's Resort since 2002.
