ST. CLOUD - Whether it's in line at the grocery store, or at an upcoming holiday party, a St. Cloud Community Ed class will teach you how to meet and talk to new people.

Conversation Coach Josh Gretz says he teaches you some tips for conversation prep work.

When we get into public some people will shut down, and we just don't want to talk to anybody. We don't want to bump into anybody. But then you have some people who just make a comment and try to make small talk. Really this is just a verbal handshake. People are just saying hi, just being nice.

Gretz says the one-day class called "Meeting New People" will help you improve both your social and professional life. The class is this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Discovery Community School.

Meanwhile, if you've got a co-worker that you just dread talking to, there's also a community ed class that can help you navigate through those conversations.

Gretz says there is an alternative to avoiding those people.

There's always that person that you avoid. Maybe they talk too much, maybe you know that you're in for a 10 minute venting conversation, or maybe they just complain all the time. How do we work around those people?  That's what the class is about. I show you guys a way to really lead the conversation without being a jerk.

Gretz says the one-day class called "Leading Conversations In The Workplace" will teach you how to read and project strong confident conversations. This class is Monday, November 21st at 6:30 p.m. at Discovery Community School.
