ST. CLOUD - Work to attract new companies to central Minnesota is always an ongoing process. Patti Gartland is the President of the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation. She says the organization markets all of Stearns and Benton counties, and the northern half of Sherburne county, to companies looking to relocate.

Gartland says the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation works with each city's Economic Development Corporation. She
says they're close to bringing new businesses to the area..

Two recent examples of the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation's work include: Germany's Geringhoff company to Sauk Rapids, and Canada's Edmonton Trailers to Sartell.

Gartland says the former Creative Memories building is a significant piece of property that they're marketing right now.

It may be a while before we see any redevelopment of the former Verso Paper Mill site in Sartell.  Gartland says they're in a holding pattern right now.

One small piece of that property has already been redeveloped. Edmonton Trailers bought a building on the site that was not torn down, and has starting manufacturing trailers there.
