ROCKVILLE - Over 500 people are planning to go jump in a lake on Saturday. The annual "Polar Plunge" is at the Water's Edge restaurant on Pleasant Lake. It's a fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota.

Spokeswoman Molly Swanson says the money raised goes towards things like scholarships and uniforms for the athletes, plus other programs.

Swanson says the 8,1000 athletes in their programs get a lot of benefits from their participation...

Swanson says they ask each plunger to raise a minimum of $75. You can still sign-up, or you can just show-up at the lake on Saturday. Registration is from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
