New Owners Plan To Reopen Former “JP’s” Bar In Sauk Rapids

SAUK RAPIDS - A new bar and grill is being planned for Sauk Rapids. Small Batch Restaurants LLC has signed a purchase agreement to buy the former JP's Grill and Bar. They are changing the name to "Spike Road Bar and Grill".

The Sauk Rapids city council will consider their request for a liquor license during their meeting on Monday night. City staff is recommending approval, on the contingency that the property gets paid-up on it's past-due taxes prior to opening.

If everything goes according to plan, "Spike Road Bar and Grill" is expected to be open by the end of next month.
