New Medication Disposal Boxes Installed In Stearns and Benton Counties

ST. CLOUD - There is a new way to safely throw away your old or unwanted medications.

New medication disposal boxes have been installed in Stearns and Benton County Sheriff's Offices as well as law enforcement agencies in Albany, Avon, Cold Spring, Kimball, Melrose, Paynesville, Sartell, Sauk Centre, St. Joseph, Waite Park, Rice, and Sauk Rapids.

The Justin Pearson Foundation helped raise the funds to provide the medication disposal boxes.

Anyone can use one of the boxes to safely dispose any unwanted medications. This method of disposal incinerates the medications and decreases the chance they'll end up in a landfill or water supply.
