New Jersey Judge Rules Against Vikings Owner, Family

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (AP) - The principal owner of the Minnesota Vikings football team and relatives are on the losing end of a New Jersey lawsuit that has spent 21 years in the courts.

A judge on Monday found Zygmunt "Zygi" Wilf, his brother and cousin had committed fraud, breach of contract and fiduciary duty, and had violated New Jersey's civil racketeering law.

The family was sued by partners in a 764-unit apartment complex in Montville, who claimed they were cheated of their fair share.

The judge says Wilf himself had testified that he had reneged on the deal.

The Wilfs' lead attorney says the family has earned a well-deserved reputation for integrity and honest dealings.

The judge will announce the rest of the ruling and damages in two weeks.
