$10 Million Retail Project Could Come to Cold Spring

COLD SPRING - A $10 million retail project along Highway 23 is being pitched to Cold Spring.

The city council heard the plan on Tuesday night, which calls for a new Wenner Do it Best Hardware and Rental at the corner of Highway 23 and County Road 2. A Super America currently sits on that site.

Do it Best Hardware is currently at 319 Main Street. Acting city administrator Kris Dockendorf says Fastenal, a fastener supplier, would also move to the area under the plan into the used car lot to the west.

The current Fastenal building would be moved one lot east and put up for lease.

Cold Spring will continue discussing the plan during its next city council meeting on August 25th.
