Neil W. Klemz, 81, Clearwater

June 30, 1934 - August 26, 2015

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater for Neil W. Klemz, age 81, of Clearwater who passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Monticello Hospital. Pastor Jan Nairn will officiate. Burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery in Clearwater.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater.

Neil was born on June 30, 1934 in Silver Creek Township, Wright County to Charles and Ruth (Sheldon) Klemz. He married Fern Read on February 9, 1957 in Silver Creek. Neil served honorably in the United States Army. Neil worked as a Tree Trimmer Foreman for Wright Hennepin Electric the majority of his life.

Neil enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, bird watching, planting trees, wood carving and gardening. He especially loved the time spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Fern; children, Jacqueline McLain of Minneapolis, Ronald (Lisa) of Maple Lake, Jeffery of Clearwater, Beverly Klemz of Monticello; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Arlene, Gladys, and Jack; and many nieces and nephews.

Neil was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Eugene; and nine siblings.
