DULUTH (AP) - The driver of an SUV escaped with only minor injuries when support beams gave way and a gas pump canopy came crashing down while he was in his vehicle at a service station in Duluth.

The collapsed structure crushed the driver's side of the SUV and damaged two other vehicles. Yet the driver was able to get out of the passenger side door with only minor scrapes. Fire crews quickly responded to the ICO gas station Sunday afternoon.

Assistant Fire Chief Bryan Bushey says they secured the gas pumps and isolated the area. He says the cause of the collapse is under investigation.
