St. Cloud State University men's hockey coach Bob Motzko announced the 2017-2018 season's non-conference opponents last night at his weekly coaches' show on REV 96.7 FM.

"We have Boston College coming in to St. Cloud, which will be very exciting," Motzko told Jim Erickson.

"We will still have the Gophers, we have Mankato, and with the (North Star Cup) going away, we have (Alaska) Fairbanks coming in," Motzko said.

The Huskies will also visit Princeton, which Motzko says is a 'bucket list' item for him.

"We go to Princeton right after Christmas," Motzko said. "I've got a couple bucket list things and I have always wanted to go to Princeton, and the Hobey Baker rink," Motzko said.

"We've never had St. Cloud in the city of Boston since I've been here," Motzko said. "We got BC and a four year deal with Northeastern"

"BC comes here next year, the following year we will go out east to play Boston College and Northeastern," Motzko said.

The coach added that he has tried to schedule Penn State, but the Nittany Lions have refused to play against the Huskies.

"We tried to schedule them, but they won't play us," Motzko said. "He said no."
