WRIGHT COUNTY -- A motorcyclist was hurt in a crash near Elk River yesterday (Saturday) afternoon.

The state patrol says the incident happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Highway 101 just south of Elk River.

Sixty-year-old Edward Myhr of Elk River was traveling southbound on Highway 101 on his motorcycle when he slid on the wet road and lost control of his bike.

Myhr crashed on to the shoulder and suffered from non-life threatening injuries.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Police believe alcohol was involved in the crash.
