Motorcyclist Hurt After Crash Near Sartell

SARTELL -- A Sartell man is hurt after crashing his motorcycle in Stearns County Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. on 1st Street, near the intersection of 30th Avenue North in Le Sauk Township, west of Sartell.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 54-year-old August Fabel was heading west on 1st Street when he slowed down approaching the intersection, hit a patch of sand, lost control and was thrown from his motorcycle.

Fabel was treated at the scene and taken to St. Cloud Hospital for unknown injuries.

It's believed alcohol played a factor in the crash.
