UPDATE: Rockville Man Killed During Chase with Stearns County Deputy

ST. AUGUSTA - The State Patrol has released the name of the motorcycle driver who was killed during a chase in St. Augusta.

A Stearns County Sheriff's deputy was in pursuit of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by 53-year-old Jeffrey Wiener of Rockville for a traffic violation.

The chase went north on County Road 75, from Opportunity Drive, when the motorcycle went off the road. Wiener was thrown from the bike, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. last (Thursday) night.
