ST. CLOUD -- Don't be alarmed if you think moths are invading your gardens and porch lights.

University of Minnesota Extension Educator Janelle Daberkow says they started hearing reports of adult moths much earlier than normal.

But, Daberkow says it probably isn't a good idea to use an insecticide on the moths because they aren't hurting your plants. She says right now, moths and butterflies are pollinating plants and are actually doing a service for Mother Nature.

She says we are also seeing more hummingbird moths which are a remarkable thing to see.
