Mother Nature Shut Off the Waterworks in September
ST. CLOUD - After eight months where the rain seemed to never stop, St. Cloud has suddenly dried-out in the past six weeks.
The September Weather Summary from St. Cloud State University says the official rainfall last month totaled only three-quarters of an inch, 2 3/4" below normal. September of 2011 ties September of 1922 for the fourth driest on record in St. Cloud.
Temperature wise, last month was a roller coaster that included a hard freeze on the 15th, and six straight days with highs in the 80s. In the end our average temperature was close to normal.
