Montevideo Man Dies In Accident On Norway Lake

WILLMAR, (AP) - A 66-year-old Montevideo man has died in a personal watercraft accident on Norway Lake in west-central Minnesota.

The Kandiyohi County sheriff's office says it responded to the accident just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday on the north side of Norway Lake. Authorities say the man had been operating a personal watercraft on the lake when he tipped. The man collapsed near the shore and stopped breathing. First responders performed CPR on the man, who was pronounced dead at Rice Hospital in Willmar.

The victim's name has not yet been released and the accident is still under investigation.
